We bring your vision to life
Most of our work starts as a sketch on a kitchen table. A door that opens onto a drop, a slope nobody wants to mow, a corner the sun ruins at four in the afternoon. We measure it, draw it, price it line by line, and build the deck you signed off on rather than the one that was easiest to frame.
A deck is a structure first and a surface second
Almost everything that goes wrong with a deck goes wrong below the boards. A ledger lagged into siding, joists at 24 inches when the decking needed 16, posts on a patio block sitting in topsoil. None of it shows on the day. All of it shows in year six.
Ours go below the 32-inch frost line, the ledger is flashed and through-bolted, and the framing follows the span the board actually needs. That is the half of the deck you are really buying.

What we do
The decks we build
And the work that goes with them
New builds, replacements, repairs and railings
From a bare yardto a deck you use
Most people call a deck builder because something has already happened. A board went soft underfoot. A railing moved when someone leaned on it. Or the back of the house has been a drop off a door for two summers running.
We cover the whole range: custom decks in composite or timber, pool decks and multi-level decks, covered decks and pergolas, full replacement and redecking, structural repair, railings, stairs, lighting, and waterproofing the space underneath.
Whichever it is, you get the same thing first: somebody who goes underneath with a flashlight before quoting, and tells you if the frame is fine and only the boards need doing.

Bulldog 6 step process
A deck that is still tight in fifteen years is not an accident of good lumber. It is the result of standards you can count on.
Design & Layout
We measure up, then agree the size, the shape, the materials and where the steps go. You get a drawing and an itemized price before anything is ordered.
Engineering & Permit
We draw the plans, get them stamped by an engineer where the county asks for it, submit them and pull the permit. Inspections are booked and the boards go on order.
Demolition & Footings
The old deck leaves in a dumpster the same week. The utility locate goes in two working days before digging, the footings go below the frost line, and the holes are inspected before concrete.
Framing & Flashing
We bolt the frame to the house and flash where the two meet, so rain runs off instead of into the wall. The county inspects it before any decking covers it.
Decking & Railing
Boards go down with the right gaps, the railing is built to take a grown adult leaning on it, and every step is the same height. We sweep up daily.
Inspection & Sign-Off
We walk the finished deck with you and fix your list before the final payment. That last pass is the Bulldog Finish, and the paperwork is yours to keep.
What we hold to
Our mission & values
Build the frame right, flash the ledger, pull the permit, and leave the job closed out properly. Everything below is a practice, not a promise. You can check us against all six.
Structure Before Surface
On a rebuild we spend more days below the decking than above it. It is the least photogenic part of the schedule and the only one that decides whether the deck is still safe in year fifteen.
Written, Never Verbal
Demolition, footings, framing, decking, railing and stairs itemized on paper before you commit. No square-foot number over the phone, and no change order without a conversation first.
The Same Crew Throughout
A named lead on site from demolition day to final inspection, backed by carpenters on our payroll. You are not meeting a new subcontractor on Wednesday.
Nothing Gets Covered Up
Footings, ledger flashing and framing are photographed before the boards go down. The half of the deck you will never see again is the half you end up with a record of.
Permits, Not Shortcuts
We pull the permit and book the inspection even when nobody would notice. An unpermitted deck is a discovery your buyer’s agent makes, not one you get to explain away.
You Get Your Yard Back
Beds and grass covered before demolition starts, offcuts and old lumber hauled the same week rather than stacked until the end, and a magnet run over the lawn for dropped fasteners before we leave.

Financing available
Spread it across the year, not the month
A new deck is one summer of work, and our financing menu is built so it does not have to be one summer of savings. Spread it across the year on approved credit and the deck goes in this season.
On approved credit. Terms vary by lender and project size.
Materials
Decking materials we build with

Pressure-treated pine
The most affordable and most common choice, and it takes a stain beautifully every time we re-coat it.

Redwood and cedar
Naturally resistant to rot and insects, with a rich warm color and a softer feel underfoot.

Tropical hardwoods
Ipe, tigerwood and cumaru. Dense enough to shrug off dents, insects and rot for decades.

Capped composite
Recycled wood fiber and plastic wrapped in a protective polymer shell. No annual sealing.

Advanced PVC
Fully synthetic with no wood content. Light, highly moisture-resistant and cooler underfoot in sun.

Aluminum
Fireproof, rust-proof and bug-proof, and lasts a lifetime with almost no upkeep.

FAQ
Before you call
What do I get at the estimate?
A written, itemized number and no obligation attached to it. We walk the job, measure, and on an existing deck we go underneath with a flashlight before quoting anything. You get demolition, footings, framing, decking, railing and stairs broken out separately. If you want a second opinion on someone else’s quote, we will give you an honest read on it.
Are you licensed and insured?
Licensed, and fully insured for general liability and workers’ compensation. Certificates go to you, your HOA or your property manager on request before we start work.
Do you pull permits?
Yes, and we book the inspections. Requirements differ from one jurisdiction to the next, so we check yours rather than assuming. Where a job genuinely does not need one, such as a low freestanding platform or a like-for-like board repair, we will tell you that instead of charging you for paperwork.
Do you use subcontractors?
No. Every carpenter on your job is a W-2 employee on our payroll, background-checked and uniformed. The crew lead who runs your project is the person who comes back if anything needs attention afterwards.
How far in advance should we book?
Restoration and repair work usually schedules within two to three weeks outside of peak season. New builds through the summer run six to ten weeks out once you add the permit, so book earlier than feels necessary if you want the deck for a particular weekend. Winter is the quietest time to get on the calendar and framing work is entirely possible in it.
